Independent Contractor Employment Agreement
This agreement governs the relationship between a company and an independent contractor.
Independent contractor employment agreement. An independent contractor agreement is between a client and a company that makes a promise to produce services in exchange for payment. The contractor further agrees that he or she will not disclose his or her retention as an independent contractor or the terms of this agreement to any person without the prior written consent of the company and shall at all times preserve the confidential nature of his or her relationship to the company and of the services hereunder. Contractor shall pay all taxes incurred while performing services under this agreementincluding all applicable income taxes and if contractor is not a corporation self employment social security taxes. Some provisions may need to be altered in accordance with local law. An independent contractor agreement allows the hiring company and the contractor to detail what is expected and why the contractor is not an employee for legal and tax purposes.
Upon demand contractor shall provide client with proof that such payments have been made. Independent contractor agreement also known as a 1099 agreement is a contract between a client willing to pay for the performance of services by a contractor.
